Simone Andreoli
A unique visual signature based on accords, character, and seasonality
The papaya hits first with an almost fermented richness, more fruit market than fruit punch, whilst pineapple adds sharp, juicy brightness. Together they create this heady, humid atmosphere that feels genuinely tropical rather than tiki-bar tacky.
Coconut milk floods in with creamy, subtly savoury depth, wrapping itself around vanilla that reads more custard than buttercream. The fruit recedes but never vanishes entirely, leaving little pockets of sweetness that emerge and fade like sun through clouds.
The Caribbean woods finally make their presence known, lending a gentle, sun-bleached quality that keeps the lingering vanilla and coconut from turning cloying. What remains is soft, warm, and surprisingly skin-like—the scent memory of a perfect day rather than the day itself.
Leisure in Paradise is a sun-drunk fantasy bottled, the olfactory equivalent of a hammock strung between palms on a beach that exists only in your most indulgent daydreams. Simone Andreoli opens with papaya and pineapple that feel genuinely ripe—not the screeching, synthetic fruit salad that plagues lesser tropical fragrances, but the kind of lusciousness that makes your mouth water. There's a particular quality to the papaya here, almost musky in its overripeness, that stops this from becoming mere holiday kitsch.
The coconut milk accord is where Leisure in Paradise earns its cult following. Rather than the scratchy, desiccated coconut that haunts so many beachy attempts, this is the creamy liquid you'd pour into a curry or sip straight from the shell—subtly savoury, faintly sweet, entirely moreish. Vanilla threads through without dominating, adding roundness rather than sugariness, whilst those mysterious "Caribbean woods" provide just enough structure to prevent the whole composition from collapsing into a puddle of dairy and fruit.
